Who checks the licence files
The Licence File team. It writes every page, then checks each one against its sources before it goes live.
Who writes and checks these pages?
The same team, at separate stages. A draft is written first, and a separate read then tests it line by line against the records behind it.
Drafting
From records only. Each page starts from a pack of dated records for its casino or regulator. Nothing without a record in that pack reaches the draft.
Checking
Line by line, before publication, with every factual line held against its source:
- A line that matches: stays, with its source and its check date.
- A line that fails: goes back to the record, or comes out.
- A line with no record: is dropped, never filled with a guess.
What does the team sign off?
Before any page goes live, each of these must hold:
Sources: every factual line traces to a dated copy.
Seal checks: each carries its date, and Curaçao lines carry the mechanism state.
Sisters: each sister claim meets the named-operator rule on the method page.
Offers and links: no offer figures and no links to casinos.
Help details: the safer gambling lines are present and current.
Why does a team byline sign every page?
Because Licence File is new. A team byline signs every page until named editors join. When one joins, this page will name them and the work they sign off.
No credentials are claimed. The team states no qualification it cannot show, so each line on a page points to its document and its check date.
How do we handle a conflict of interest?
By having none to manage. No casino pays Licence File, and pages carry no affiliate links. A finding cannot be bought.
Position on file
- Accounts: the team holds no casino accounts.
- Agreements: none with any casino, operator or payment provider, dated 8 October 2026.
- Changes: the commercial terms page changes before any commercial link appears.
Casino requests
- Corrections: a casino can ask for one like any reader.
- Same process: a fresh read of the source, with only a new dated copy changing a line.
How can you reach the team?
By email only. Send the page and the line to hello@licencefile.com, and say what you saw and when.
The contact page lists what a useful message includes, from the page and line to the date you saw it. Each line’s source is on the sources page.
