Licence File

Contact the Licence File team

This page covers corrections, complaints about a casino and help in a dispute. Messages go by email only, to hello@licencefile.com. No phone line or web form exists, and every message sent to that address reaches the Licence File team.

What does a correction need?

The page and the line, first. Then what was seen, with the date it was seen, because every line on Licence File is tied to a check date.

Every report gets a fresh read. Only a new dated copy on file changes a line. Nothing moves before that.

Corrections

  • A changed line: a casino page, register entry or seal result that has moved since its check date.
  • A source to read: a regulator notice or register edition that a page should cite.
  • A casino writing in: the same fresh read applies to its own page.

Data requests

  • Personal data: a request about data Licence File holds.
  • Rights: the privacy notice sets out each one, and what a request about a log line needs.

Can Licence File act on a casino complaint?

No. Licence File holds no casino account and sees no payment. So it cannot chase, settle or explain a withdrawal, whoever asks.

Each review on Licence File sets out its own casino’s complaint steps, with their dates, in the order below:

  1. Casino support: start with the complaints process in the casino’s own terms.

  2. Next body: the ADR provider or complaint body the terms name, where they name one.

  3. Regulator: its published complaint process, including what it says it will not review.

Limits on file

  • Anjouan: its complaint policy excludes complaints from players in excluded territories.
  • Curaçao: the CGA says complaints from individual players against gaming providers are not something it handles.

Corrections follow a set order. The method page explains it step by step.

Where can you get help during a dispute?

A dispute with a casino can keep you up at night, and you don’t have to carry it alone. GamCare’s National Gambling Helpline never closes, and 0808 8020 133 is its number. If speaking feels hard, you can type to GamCare on WhatsApp or live chat instead.

GAMSTOP’s free self-exclusion is another option you control. To use Licence File, you must have turned 18.
